College of Creative Studies Music Composition student Jordan Mitchell will present a senior recital on Friday, May 3, 2019, at 7:30 pm (doors open at 7 pm) in Lotte Lehmann Concert Hall in the UCSB Music Building. The program will include original works by Mr. Mitchell, with performances by UCSB and CCS students and alumni. Mr. Mitchell is a student of Leslie Hogan and Jeremy Haladyna.

About the Artist

Jordan Devaughn Mitchell (b. 1997), is a composer from Stockton, California who studies under Leslie Hogan and Jeremy Haladyna at the University of California, Santa Barbara in addition to UCSB alumnus Juan Zaragoza. He is a multicultural music educator, professional mariachi, audio engineer, and producer whose production cannot be confined to one musical genre, but a blend of multiple styles ranging from Mariachi to Trap. His senior recital, entitled Intuitive Memories: A Journal of Life, contains a musical mixture of orchestral music, mariachi styles such as Vals and Joropos, string quartets, wind quintets, and hip-hop.
