Please welcome to the stage UCSB’s Young Artists Piano Quartet! The ensemble features pianist Leslie Cain, violinist Youjin Jung, violist Jordan Warmath and cellist Larissa Fedoryka, all graduate students in the Department of Music.

You will be mesmerized by Azeem Ward’s incredible contemporary classical flute solo! Azeem is a fourth year undergraduate earning a bachelor of music with an emphasis in flute performance.
East Wind by Shulamit Ran
UCSB Amplified dares you to keep up with the fast beats of the Department of Music’s Percussion Ensemble! This group of students specializes in preparing and performing chamber music for percussion. Directed by Music Faculty Jon Nathan, the ensemble includes undergraduates Nick Diamantides, Sabastian Johnson and Robert Deichert.

Você quer dançar? (Would you like to dance?) From the streets of Rio de Janiero, Salvador da Bahia and Olinda, the UCSB Afro-Brazilian Ensemble brings the carnaval rhythms! Led by UC Santa Barbara’s Matt Wright, the ensemble is best known for its loud volume and high energy. Instruments include surdo, alfaia, timbal, repique, caixa, tamborim, agogo, gongue and ganza.
