“Honorary Membership [in the American Musicological Society] is a status conferred on members in recognition of long-standing membership and for outstanding contributions to the advancement of scholarship in music” and for contributions to the society itself.
Professor Panchart has been recognized for a lifetime of research and teaching of musicology. In addition to AMS Honorary Membership Howard, Planchart has received the M Brown Award from Early Music America (2006), the Arion Award from the Cambridge, Early Music Society (2009), and the Medal of the City of Tours, Loire (2013).
