PLEASE NOTE: Due to construction, Parking Lot 3 (nearest lot to Music Building) is not accessible from UCEN Road until mid-March. To access Parking Lot 3 if you are traveling from the roundabout (Steck Circle), please turn right onto Channel Islands Road and follow this road until you see the UCEN on your left. Parking Lot 3 should be directly in front of you.

The UCSB Jazz Ensemble presents a concert of music associated with The Count Basie Orchestra, one of the most influential, virtuosic, and important ensembles in the history of jazz. Works to be performed include "Easin It," “Whirly Bird," "Flight of the Foo Birds," "All of Me" (as arranged by both Billy Byers and Thad Jones), as well as sets of vocal arrangements originally written for Ella Fitzgerald (as arranged by Quincy Jones) and Dianne Schuur (as arranged by Frank Foster). Don’t miss this celebration of the institution of jazz, the Count Basie Orchestra.
