Pianist Kristie Chairil will present an honors recital on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at 2 p.m. in Karl Geiringer Hall, featuring works by W.A. Mozart, Béla Bartók, and Johannes Brahms. Admission is free.
 
Kristie Chairil is a third-year undergraduate pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Music at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where she studies piano with Professor Paul Berkowitz. This year, she received the Erno Daniel Memorial Award for distinguished performance in piano. As a dual major, Kristie is interested in interdisciplinary studies involving fields such as literature, psychology, neuroscience, philosophy, and music, and how each area can learn from one another to bridge new understandings.
