Flutist Rachel Ricard will present a senior recital featuring works by Ian Clarke, Sergei Prokofiev, Pierre Sancan, and Franz Schubert, with pianist Dr. Natasha Kislenko. Saturday, May 6th at 1 p.m. in Karl Geiringer Hall. Admission is free.

About Rachel Ricard
 
Rachel Ricard is a fourth-year music performance major at University of California, Santa Barbara, studying under Jill Felber. She has participated in various ensembles throughout the years in California, including UCSB’s Chamber Orchestra and Wind Ensemble, CBDA All State Honor Bands, Santa Monica High School’s Symphony Orchestra and Wind Ensemble, and the Colburn Wind Ensemble. Through the Santa Monica High School Ensembles, she was able to tour Washington D.C., Chicago, and perform in Walt Disney Concert Hall through international music festivals. Rachel has received multiple superior ratings through Solo and Small Ensemble festivals as both a soloist and a chamber musician. She has participated in various masterclasses with many esteemed musicians, including Vienna Philharmonic’s Walter Auer, Jill Felber, Anne Epperson, and Margaret MacDonald. She hopes to continue with her flute performance studies next year at the graduate level.
