The term punk-rock refers to a music and social phenomenon that is extremely heterogeneous and contested. While it is a space in which many different identities of resistance have been formed, punk has been, in large part, organized around the hegemonic principles of heterosexual masculinity. In this session we will discuss how this hegemony has been established, reproduced, and challenged.
