Stefanie Tcharos Assistant Professor Baroque opera and related vocal genres, 17th- and early 18th-century music, aesthetics of reception. Author of "Beyond the Boundaries of Opera: Conceptions of Musical Drama in Rome, 1676-1710" (Ph.D. diss., 2002). Stefanie Tcharos was a recipient of the Alvin Johnson AMS 50 Dissertation Fellowship in 2001. She has presented her research for the American Musicological Society Annual Meeting (Toronto, 2000), the Evelyn Dunbar Memorial Early Music Symposium (Chicago, 2000), and for the Colloquio di Musicologia del Saggiatore Musicale (Bologna, 1999). She is a member of the Society for Seventeenth-Century Music, and the American Musicological Society. |
